Lindner College of Business Kolodzik Scholarship Presented to University of Cincinnati

On Tuesday, March 28th, the chapter presented $4,000 for the UC Lindner College of Business Kolodzik Scholarship in memory of founding chapter member, Carl Stein.  Ruth Seiple (below, center), Director of the Operations Management and BS Industrial Management and Kolodzik Business Scholars Programs, accepted the check on the university's behalf.  Shelley Hoesl, Chapter Presidnet, and Rick Alley, UC Student Chapter Liaison, presented the donation.

This year's recipient of the APICS Scholarship is Emily Reiring (below), Kolodzik Business Scholar and Operations Management student.  In a personal note, Emily shared her appreciation:  "I wanted to express my gratitude to APICS for having a philanthropic spirit and not only putting time, but funds into the development of young OM and IM students. I feel extremely blessed to be the KBS recipient of the APICS scholarship this year and thank you for continuing this tradition."  Congratulations, Emily!

Emily Reiring, APICS Scholarship Recipient

Each year, the chapter sponsors the attendance of a member of the University of Cincinnati APICS Student Chapter to the APICS National Conference.  Derek Schappacher was able to attend the event last September.  He shared the highlights of his experience with the students and APICS chapter members.  His involvement with APICS was so valuable that he will be moving to Seattle in order to join Amazon after graduation.  Good luck, Derek!
