MATERIALS MANAGER

TDM & Associates is an award winning executive and professional search firm with offices in Illinois and Arkansas. 

 Our client, a high growth privately held company located in Central Illinois, is looking for a dynamic individual to manage the production scheduling, warehousing, shipping and receiving and inventory control functions ensuring customer service targets are met.

 The Materials Manager will play an integral role in the implementation of a new ERP system and will contribute to the lean manufacturing and best practice initiatives being undertaken by the company.  A heavy emphasis on process improvement, procedure, and training and development will be needed. 

 Additional Qualifications include:

  • BS degree in Business or related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience in production planning and inventory management.
  • Leadership skills along with the ability to influence change.
  • Understanding of production and distribution costs structure.
  • Excellent analytical skills and computer knowledge (SAP, Oracle or other major ERP platform)
  • APICS certification a plus.

Materials & Logistics Manager
 
KLA Industries is looking for an experienced Materials & Logistics Manager. KLA Industries provide high-performance sheet and film products used in thousands of applications worldwide. Some of the industries we are used in are Aerospace, Automotive, Construction, Medical, Printing and Telecommunications.  Duties:
·         Manage, mentor & guide team to help ensure zero EHS incidents
·         Execute production, shipping & inventory plans in accordance with the published Sales & Operating Plan (S&OP)
·         Coordinate communications between the Commercial, Supply Chain & Manufacturing groups
·         Drive the “Production Execution Factor” and Manufacturing Due Date/Requested Ship Date improvement activities/reporting
·         Coordinate external manufacturing activities between tollers/commercial team
·         Lead efforts to drive improvements in data management, systems enhancements & process improvements that will lead to long term sustainable improvements
·         Lead material controllership compliance activities to meet all audit requirements
·         Lead inventory management with a "make to order" mindset that results in increased RIP/WIP turns and hit S&OP targets
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Materials Management, Engineering or Business
 5 Years experience in materials management, planning, scheduling & supply chain         
Six Sigma Certification (Green or Black Belt)
Experience in Lean Manufacturing
Experience in Plastics or Chemical industry highly preferred
