Demand Manager, The Harris Products Group (HPG)

The Harris Products Group, headquartered in Mason, Ohio, is the global leader in the design and manufacturer of gas welding and cutting equipment, industrial and specialty gas regulation equipment, and gas distribution systems, brazing and soldering alloys and welding consumables.

We have an opportunity for a Demand Manager at our headquarters in Mason, Ohio. This highly visible Supply Chain position manages the forecasting and inventory requirements process.  A hands-on position, this manager is responsible for developing and executing Demand Plan and inventory plans that will enable Harris Products Group to meet sales and service objectives.  The Demand Manager provides functional leadership to the Supply Chain by forecasting supply and demand for products and integrating products and services.

  Responsibilities include:

·         Assumes a key role in the Sales & Operations Planning (SOP) process by leading the forecast for all major product families. 

·         Designs and generates weekly and monthly statistical forecast reports.

·         Monitors forecast versus actual demand and adjusts forecasts as required.

·         Develops reports for monitoring forecast accuracy.

·         Develops and maintains documentation and standard operating procedures demand planning processes and systems.

·         Conducts current and future forecasting analysis, insuring forecasting processes and methods are followed.

·         Assembles and analyzes all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast

·         Understands, establishes and utilizes the best methods (statistical models and software tools) to create forecasts and respective finished goods inventory targets.

·         Makes recommended adjustments to the forecast and inventory targets based on input from Sales and Management.

·         Leads Forecast and inventory planning meetings reviewing recommended sales forecasts and inventory goals.

·         Prepares, reports, and communicates forecast and finished goods inventory measurements to management.

·         Proactively facilitates re-engineering, best practices, and consensus between functional areas during the S&OP process.

·         Is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAP Forecasting and Demand Management.

·         Trains new employees on SAP forecasting and demand management.

  Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics/Supply Chain, or related field from a four-year college or university preferred or specific relevant experience.
  • Minimum three years experience in Supply Chain Management, or related field required.
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of current Supply Chain Management concepts.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or another MRPII (JD Edwards, Oracle, etc.) required.
  • SAP-Advanced Planning & Optimization (SAP-APO) and Flex Planning preferred.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Excel are required.  MS Access is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic self-starter.
  • Proven capability to work independently under general supervision.

A  growing, aggressive manufacturing and distributor of fruit and vegetable presses is seeking a strong Manager of Technical Services to grow and solidify their technical services department.  Four Service Techs will report to this position.  The Field Tech Manager will report to the company President, and will play a major role in this companies growth.  The successful candidate will have a four year Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree, and will be customer focused.  PLC proficiency a must.  Must have a waste water background, with a strong understanding of pumps and strong project leadership skills.
